Students’ Description

Members of Indicium UBC will get hands-on experience in scientific research as they work with a team and mentor involved in STEM research (ie graduate students, PhDs, medical students, etc.) to develop a research project related to their mentor’s scientific field. Students will get the opportunity to  showcase their work at the end-of-year conference in front of their peers and other STEM researchers in BC. Winners of the Indicium Research Competition  will have the opportunity to have their work published in the national peer-review STEM Fellowship Journal!

Mentors’ Description

Mentors for Indicium UBC will guide a group of undergraduates through a theoretical research project in their field of expertise as they prepare their team to present at the Indicium Research Competition conference. Mentors will have the opportunity to develop their teaching and leadership skills, work with an enthusiastic group of future researchers, and the chance to have their team’s work published in the national peer-reviewed STEM Fellowship Journal!
